As I write this post, temperatures are dropping and there is a freeze warning. I mentioned this because this post has me longing for warmer days. Spring is finally here, but there is always a couple of cold snaps before the warm weather sets in for good. I took the photos in this post last Fall. These landscapes will look familiar to you if you have read my “Random Landscapes Across 5 Counties” post. That post showcased landscape images shot on Ektar 100 with my OM1. Some of those landscapes were taken at Long Hunter State Park in Hermitage. On that same day, I made some images with my DSLR. Long Hunter State Park is a great place to enjoy the outdoors. My family and I used to frequent the park when we lived in the Nashville area. These photos were taken on Couchville Lake.
Stepping away from the streets can be a nice change from the concrete jungle. The pace is slower and the noise of the urban scene is replaced with the sound of rustling trees and chirping birds. Sometimes there’s just silence and that’s often the best sound of all. Thanks for reading!
