Armed with the moon rise time and its azimuth, I was ready to catch the moon at the horizon. I got to my spot about 45 minutes before moon rise and found my composition, but as luck would have it, the horizon was covered in a thick haze. The moon did not show itself until it was well above the horizon. Luckily I only had to adjust my composition slightly as I had accurately placed my field of view to capture my chosen foreground and the sky above it.
