When I have the time, I am usually up before sunrise heading to a particular location to take advantage of the morning light. Most of the time I have a destination in mind, but sometimes I take a drive through the country. I had a subject I wanted to photograph this morning, but I wanted a little more dynamic light than what was provided by the overcast sky. I will have to revisit this location under different lighting conditions. Therefore, I took a drive and captured the photos in this post.
The thing that caught my eye about this horse was where it was standing. It was standing in the middle of all the foliage between the old barn and the fence. I saw the shot I wanted before I got out of my truck. However, as soon as the horse saw me it started to walk toward me. I had to settle for a portrait shot at the fence. I really like the mesmerizing gaze captured in this image.
