I got my scans back today and the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this picture is the phrase “The Family that Plays Together, Stays Together”. I don’t know if these people were all related, but they played the part. When I saw them, I immediately raised the camera to my eye. One gentlemen saw me and smiled. He asked where could he see the picture. I told him I actually didn’t take the shot, but I would love to take a group photo. Thus, they posed for this picture and I gave them my website information.
It was refreshing to see a nice family having a fun outing together. Ironically in a world of cell phones, email and social media, a lot of families are still disconnected. In my own family, we all have our activities, but we do take time to do things together. I pray that the bond we have created with our children will keep them close even after they leave the nest.
